What's everyone's opinion on the Axanar/CBS lawsuit?

It's so bizarre to me that, after all of these years, CBS/Paraborg still don't get where fans are coming from. It's crazy, but it's kind of our faults for being such rabid fans that we keep buying whatever they put out. The Abrams-verse, talks of who is involved with the projected new CBS-subscribers only new show, and now this. It really is unfortunate that those who love Trek are generally on the receiving end of the proverbial stick.
