It seems like it's been a while since there was any random posts for our members' enjoyment. Last year I bought a fancy new camera and have been enjoying snapping pictures far above the quality I've previously had. I'm really pleased with the results.

Great pics! Thanks for sharing! My Grandmother and Great grandmother immigrated to Canada after the First World War. She was born in Inverness just a couple months before her Father died from wounds. I can't travel anymore so i'll never be able to see it in person, but my daughter wants to see it one day.

The coastal photos were taken at a place called Canty Bay where I go for a holiday every year and have done all my life. It sits in East Lothian at the mouth of the Firth of Forth. It's little known, hidden away, yet historically important. The island is called The Bass Rock. Over the centuries it has been a fort, a prison (I suspect it was possibly the original Alcatraz) and is currently the largest Gannet colony on the East coast of the UK.
I shall definitely post more pics when I have some time.
