So i want genuine opinions, does this look any good???
I haven't done much to the actual mountain section yet. I've been concentrating on the ground and rocky area along the back and also blending the ship in to the mountain to make it look like it's been there a while. Also no skid marks yet.
I would weather the nacel a bit more, looks to 'new' compared to the saucer.
Place the broken of nacel next to the ship? Like itbroke of over time?
Also, post it on trekworks!

Yeah the other nacelle is going underneath the saucer section like it broke off and slid alongside the ship.
I haven't really weathered it much yet. I sprinkled some bits over the ship to see how it would look but it definitely needs more.
Also more of that vegetation hanging from the overhang above the saucer to look like vines, then i'll carry that bushy look up and over and just work my way along.
could use more scarring on the saucer and nacelles. but looks good

In terms of the model itself, the weathering, the overall look of the base, and so on, and considering that you have said yourself that you are not done, I'd say you are headed in the right direction and it all looks good individually.
What I am having a hard time with is figuring out the story that is being told by the piece.
For example: Is the Saucer meant to be "Slicing into" the side of the cliff-face or is that where the ship came to rest after being stopped by the cliff?
I ask because currently, with the damaged edge of the Saucer meeting the exact face of the cliff, it looks (abstractly), like a pizza cutter wedged into a block of cheese. This, to me, does not seem like what would happen after a massive chunk of machinery fell from the sky and slid (however far), until meeting a mass large enough to stop it's momentum.
I would expect either that the Saucer--if strong enough to take the impact--would displace the terrestrial materials in it's path (ala Riker crashing the E in Generations), or that the Saucer would crumple and break apart where it meets the stronger formation of rock face. Likely a combination of the two.
Then over time, the foliage and other detritus would build up around the structure of the ship naturally (which is the part you said you have not gotten to yet).
I am also curious if the neck of the ship could sustain the weight of the saucer over a prolonged period of time.
In short, individually the elements are coming along nicely, and clearly you have the skill to make them look good because they already do... I, personally, am just looking to the diorama to tell me a story about how the ship got to be where it is, and what has happened to it since.
I hope that makes sense? I'm definitely not saying your work is not good, in terms of detail I think it's going to look terrific.
