I need the help of a Steam guru.
My Steam will not connect to the interwebz. I've tried everything, firewall permissions, reinstall, disabling protection software and firewalls temporarily, nothing works.
I can run in offline mode just fine but it keeps saying it can't connect to the Steam servers.

Is your VPN on, Steam doesn't seem to like it when my VPN is on and wont connect.

Re: HALP!!!
One possible fix I found on the net is to delete: ClientRegistry.blob
Which is located in your steam folder. Steam will regenerate the file when launched.

Re: HALP!!!
It appears after further inspection that my Steam will also not start, must be a server issue on their end.

Re: HALP!!!
I seem to have solved it. I used a program to find the port that Steam was trying to access on my computer and the router and opened them. It connected but the first couple times it was intermittent. It seems to be holding atm though.

Re: HALP!!!
I've had this problem when rebooting my computer. I have found that the internet has not had a chance to connect to the computer before Steam is trying to log on the internet. I have to manually connect the internet and hopefully I beat out Steam in trying to connect to it.

I think this may be a Steam issue because i haven't changed anything since earlier today when it was working.
