Mr Drexler talks J

Post by Husker »

There isn't that much info about the J online, not official anyway. Well Doug Drexler is talking about the J on Trekyards.

(That's the big 2 mile long Enterprise from the 26th century for those that don't know.)

Well all Fed ships, or at least most of them are multi-role. They're just as capable in battle as they are studying a supernova.

The theory is, ships such as the Ambassador and Galaxy class were large because they were built for deep space exploration, the Galaxy had to be self sustaining for long periods without needing to dock, Officers would bring their families with them due to the long time away, thats why the Galaxy class had schools and a barber shops. The Enterprise-J could be so large for the same reason.

The Enterprise-E was not as big as the Enterprise-D because the Sovereign class was not designed for deep space exploration, but rather the Federation's idea of a battleship that is not a battleship, a show of force after the Dominion war.
