I would guess you mean the D or E?Husker wrote:I like the way they always pick on the original Enterprise. Now say those things about the J.... yeah thought so.
Yeah, when I read that article I felt the laziness of the author in pointing out flaws that are known to every fan of the original series.

No i mean the J, i greatly doubt that has any design flaws but yeah the D and E don't have any of the flaws listed either.Sysil wrote:I would guess you mean the D or E?Husker wrote:I like the way they always pick on the original Enterprise. Now say those things about the J.... yeah thought so.

Re: Biggest Design Flaws (USS Enterprise)
When i play space engineers, i design my ships similar to star trek ships, that includes the bridge being on top of the saucer section as well.
Iv gone through combat against other players ships and my bridge has rarely been targeted or even hit. Its easy to position the ship to make the bridge a harder target to hit.
But this aint Space engineers, i suppose in the star trek universe Starfleet would have made some assurances against such an event, extra armour, structural integrity fields or extra shielding a possibility, it can reduce the bridge's vulnerability if it was to be targeted.

Re: Biggest Design Flaws (USS Enterprise)
If I recal that was a direct hit from a weapon that only destroyed a small section of the bridge (Compared to the damage delt from a hit anywhere else on the ship) And they had emergency forcefields in place as well which proves Starfleet had at least thought about it, who cares if you lose a redshirt in the process.Mike wrote:Nemesis scene

It could be possible that yes the bridge is exposed, but maybe measures were taken to reduce the severity if it was hit... That scene from ST:Enterprise took multiple hits followed by 3 hits simultaneously before the bridge blew out.
