Thought about this for a long while now.....DR really has pissed me off.
Tonight was IT, three friends plus me wanted to farm Argala, we all team up, we are all lvl60 we go in, and it was potluck who landed with who, or if any landed together. We re-teamed, even used alts, same thing.
I mean are any bugs fixed anymore? is their any fun in the game. Since when was optional objectives mandatory? what sense was that? where is the fun?
I cant take it lightly as it is no FUN like this, it's boring, it's annoying, it winds me up to play and see such stupid crap being left, season after season, while people who seem like idiots pour their cash at a company, that has proven it gives nothing of a crap about it's player-base.
Perhaps I am done, I've been with STO since a few week before the Galaxy X first came out before ******* who can go sit on a chainsaw as far as I am concerned.
I love Star Trek but this is a cash grab, with more bugs then a Alpha copy of Windows ME, pirated on Limewire from a guy named XXXX1337haxxorrrrrrwarezxxx. The sooner they close this embarrassment of a game down and admit defeat at being competent the better.
Or am I wrong?

If you don't like it, go play other games. By dealing with it, you're not going to give this game the kind of support it should have.
If they want you back, they'll actually add solid content and fix things.
I quit playing this game and from what I'm told its in no condition where I would even wanna pick it up again.
Maybe once Star Trek hits the TV stations again, we'll get something worth while.
Because let's not kid ourselves, the potential for Star Trek returning is getting higher.

Its best to play other games to lessen the impact of STO's bugs and give Cryptic some time to get their act together, I myself have been playing Space Engineers a lot more.
Your not the only one who is having problems with this latest Season, I wish it was back to the way it was before, a lot of people are complaining on the STO forums too

I have to admit a lot of the times i login i won't actually do anything but chat with you guys. Sometimes that's more fun than playing the game.

I can't disagree with anything that's been said in here - I still log-in daily but find myself doing nothing of substance.
Post-DR, this game has been more drama than fun. The official forums, people accuse them of being rather aggressive or just a vocal minority but a big chunk of what's been said here and by others in general... well... there seems to be a level of agreement across the board.

Re: What is the point in playing anymore (rant)
The amount of grind in the game, the boring missions I am obliged to do, the unbalanced abilities that do nothing in PvE but break PvP...
My playtime was winding down even before DR hit and when the DR information started leaking I made up my mind to stop playing the day DR hit holodeck, apart from logging in maybe once a month.
Everything that has happened since DR came out has confirmed to me that I took the right decision.

You should come back and do some more carrier pvp events. They were fun and a change from the norm.
Btw, reigning champ right here... jus' sayin'

Whilst I agree that on the scale of dungeon of rubbishness to awesome heights, STO has more than it's share of problems which puts it at the lower end of the scale. I also log in to chat to the 12th and goof off generally with a bit of PvE in there occ and dilithium grinding on alts so i don't have to hand over any more cash to them.
The "floptional" issue is annoying I agree as it has pretty much ended PuG gameplay in the public queues and it has made it a lot harder to come by reputation equipment, making it harder for new players to improve their gear.
The bugs/balancing are going to take a while to sort out and i suspect some of them will never be fixed given the amount of attention bug reports seem to get, the level of investigation/response with regards to le bug problem seems to be very hit and miss.
Such is life I feel with online gaming, you either deal or you don't. I've been playing a fair bit of Dragon Age: Inquisition also for some variety.
