Sainsburys advert for the centenary

Post by Macha »

Normally I despise Christmas adverts, nothing but greed etc. But this is something special , based on events that took place a 100 years ago

I'm not very keen on this - to me, it's simple profiteering. But I realise I'm in a minority so I'll step away.

Cheers Macha, I just don't want to start another debate over this... people have a right to enjoy what they want and I shouldn't be wading in like a miserable git :)

Y'know, why couldn't Sainsbury's (with the British Legion) have just funded or backed a documentary on the Christmas Day truce? Without resorting to making it an advert?

Oh I wish it wasn't a simple advert either, but at least it's not something silly, it's actually showing some form of goodwill etc
