Thanks, like he said... (I despise the TNG films and am least familiar with them...*Grin*...)

We are both right and wrong...

It was D and it was Riker... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3BZpdSOrDbs

Looks great so far Husker.

As for the tale it's telling, in my head this is the Abrams version of the Generations movie (regardless of who was flying it), an ignominious end for any ship called Enterprise. You should definitely post this on Trekworks when it's done.

I had actually thought that this was just like Generations but in the new universe. I guess it could be. As far as I know the Constitution never had saucer sep so the entire ship would have to come down.

The ship is abandoned. I decided to really wedge the ship in tight so I could place some vegetation along that edge (which I started last night). I've also added some more hanging vines and more green on the ship. I had thought that the mountain would have crumbled over time and filled any gaps and eventually overgrown. Basically hiding that edge.

The story goes, this ship was battle damaged and could no longer hold altitude and the planets gravity pulled it down. They came in at a shallow angle using thrusters to stabilize their descent. The nacelle was torn off to show it had been sliding for some time and eventually came to a stop alongside the ship which got wedged in to the mountain. The crew abandoned ship and was rescued but the ship was left to become overgrown.

The only ways I can incorporate that story in to the model is with the nacelle and the green and vines on the ship.

Looks great!

It looks like the crash happened some time ago.

Awesome work!

I think the Connie did have saucer separation, but it was a one time only thing, only done to escape a dying secondary hull, warp core breach, that sort of thing.

Looking great! Though I wonder if the primary hull looks a little too intact after having smashed into the side of a mountain. Perhaps a little more buckling would have happened, especially at the front end.

I cut off about a third of the hull and also a section of the deflector. It's hard to see even in person plus some of that will be hidden by vegetation soon. I wanted to make it look as though it sunk after sitting for so long.
