Yeah the experimental upgrade techs are for getting a better rarity and it works well on mk 2 items because you can upgrade them far with just 1 item (god some good upgrades with that but I still lack the modifiers I want.

I get tons of crap from crafting mk 2 guns but not the CritDx2 Rapid modifier I want :(

I took me several hundred beam crafts to get the modifiers I wanted.... Patience and time required....

Mk XIV UR is the limit really, any higher than that and you need to be "No Mercy" rich.

For those new members that's very rich.

I've been buying Mk II antiproton beam arrays with CrtHx3 mods on them, then upgrading them, the ones that increase rarity and get a crtHx4 mod I keep everything else I sell or vendor.

I am now fortunate to have 8 antiproton beam arrays all crtHx4, I just have to get them to mk 14 and make them epic, only two of them currently are.

Gripp,

Here's a little spreadsheet to see who in the fleet is capable of crafting anything you need.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... edit#gid=0

If you have some levels in crafting, let me know and I'll add you on.

Epic gear really does require not only alot of EC (to buy the upgrade tech kits) but lots of dilithium.
