Since September I have been without an MMO for the first time since like 2004. I feel like I am jonesing all the time. Remind me never to go anywhere near real drugs.Halcyon wrote:that would probably be a wise decision! with each passing day my symptoms grow worseLordOfMadness wrote:

Re: Preorder Question
haha! I know exactly what you mean! I have been scavenging around for a good MMO to come out for the last year. I played Champions Online for a bit but was a bit disappointed (kind of felt like Cryptic put all their attention on Star Trek after they released Champions and never really looked back)....I waste away my time nowadays playing Counterstrike counting the days till STO!LordOfMadness wrote:

I have been tiding myself over with Dragon Age and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Counter Strike is great though, I have spent many hours amusing myself with that multi-player classic.Halcyon wrote:haha! I know exactly what you mean! Loving DA, Never played any Call of Duty after the very first one (Which I loved!), CS I stopped playing like...8 years ago?
Team Fortress 2/Left 4 Dead2 keeping me busy
I also bought the Digital Deluxe edition but not from Atari (They don't include the personal shield, the D2D edition has EVERYTHING the Atari one does + the personal multispacial shield)
<--Joined Trill!
Also, I have been without an MMO for about a year now.

CS is one of those games that I come back to when I have absolutely nothing else to do lol. I take like year long breaks from it and then play over vacation usually lolSodah wrote:

Re: Preorder Question
Science ships are going to be the equivalent of a "Buffer" class.xxwolvpacx wrote:I preordered gamestop but I'm thinking to going science.. Will I be able to run with the cruiser class ships?? If I can what will miss out on by not using a science ship?
So you will still be able to put up a fight, but your key strength lies in making cloaked ships useless and disabling their ship to such a degree that they become much less of a threat.
To flip that around, if you want to play with the rest of us that ARE going Cruisers/Escorts you'll be providing a VERY essential buff to all our ships and debuffs to the enemies we are fighting.
The "Raidisodes" that will be our 5-player-max content at the beginning will definitely require a science vessel.
Ideally the group I run with once STO comes out will be comprised of maybe 2 cruisers 2 escorts and a science vessel.
