Fleet Magazine August 2010, Volume 1 Issue 1

Alright, I'll start with one thing I noticed. There are a few grammar mistakes. I completely understand that not everyone is a native English-speaker. Most are simple missed capitalizations and punctuation, nothing major.

Now that that is out of the way, awesome job to everyone on the magazine team! Is this going to be open to everyone, or just the fleet? I mean, there is some awesome info in there for everyone (like the PvP or DXP). Maybe we could split the magazine into two sections: general and fleet-specific. We just make a second cover for just the general info, then we open that issue up to everyone (General Chat, maybe even the STO forums). As for the fleet-specific info, we can make the "full" issue and put it in the Fleet Chat forum. That would include the Admiral meeting notes and anything sensitive to the fleet. I don't know how difficult this would be; it's just a thought. It could help put our fleet's name out there.

As a professional graphic artist I really want to say that the Fleet Magazine is fantastic. This is one of the highest quality PDF's I've ever encountered. Fantastic job, folks.

As for the fleet-specific info, we can make the "full" issue and put it in the Fleet Chat forum. That would include the Admiral meeting notes and anything sensitive to the fleet.

Thats the thinking behind the Fleet Magazine forum. That way, previous issues will not dissapear into oblivion, and it can be hidden too.

Then there would be another forum just for the magazine staff (writers, editors etc)

I gave that some thought too, what if we censor the admiral notes? The non fleet sensitive stuff can be put in the magazine with a link to fleet talk for the full news, just as it's done now with the archives.

It's okay to share non fleet sensitive stuff though like how we gained more members, who gained new medals, which new admirals we have, things like that.
Structural command changes and other things can be put in our own fleet talk forum.

I was thinking we could even add a section to welcome new members to the fleet, this might cause an administrative burden though. (I like that idea a lot, but it might just be too impractical with the amount of new members we gain every month.)

Right, i have started counting members since the last issue (and will continue till I finalise my next article)

have written it in notes on my iPhone...at 2 so far
(theres 3 more members waiting for acceptance, so will go up to 5 very soon!)
