While major powers struggle for stability in the midst of the latest crisis, the Tholian web extends unseen above their prey. They make no distinctions between the Romulan Republic and the Tal Shiar. They are advanced, enigmatic, and patient… and they have chosen this moment of galactic distraction to strike. Beginning on April 29th at 8am PT on PC, the Tholians imprison a significant portion of the Romulan Flotilla in the Azure Nebula while they attempt to ensnare and abscond with the formidable Vault. How many ships can the Alliance spare to deal with this machination? Will it be enough?
The Tholian Trouble featured event will include the Azure Nebula Rescue (Space) TFO and the Vault: Ensnared (Space) TFO. Players can choose to play either TFO to gain Daily Progress towards the grand prize.
Participating in this Event will grant you progress towards our 2025 Event Campaign and give all players the opportunity to earn the Tholian Shocktrooper Radiation Cannon, a terrifyingly big assault weapon capable of hitting multiple enemies at once and bunching them up with an Imploding Web Grenade. To hasten the destruction of your enemies, you can also increase your damage output and critical hit frequency with Overheat Mode!
Tholian Trouble 2025 – Activity Details
Two existing activities will be participating in this Event:
Azure Nebula Rescue – Space TFO
The Tholians are holding captured Romulan ships in the mysterious Azure Nebula. Assist the Romulan Star Empire by penetrating the Tholian defenses and freeing the captured ships.
Vault: Ensnared – Space TFO
A Tholian invasion force has targeted the Vault and Obisek is calling for reinforcements. Team up with the Remans and defend the station before the Tholians spin their webs and carry the Vault into another dimension!
Players will be able to earn their Daily Progress once every 20 hours by completing either TFO of their choosing. Either of the above Activities may be played as much as you like each day, so pick and choose how you prefer to gain Progress each day and mix it up as much (or as little) as you like!
Tholian Trouble 2025 – Event Rewards
Accruing a total of 14 Days’ worth of Daily Progress will allow you to claim the Grand Prize of the Tholian Trouble 2025 Event. This reward includes all the following:
- 3x Featured TFO Reward Boxes (Single Character Reward)
Each gives a choice of 1x Specialization Point or an Enhanced Universal Tech Upgrade - 25,000 Dilithium Ore (Single Character Reward)
Issued immediately for use as you see fit!
Reward Details: Tholian Shocktrooper Assault Cannon
Mow down your enemies with this bulky Assault Weapon, utilizing its AoE Primary Fire to rain down Radiation Damage on them! To maximize your damage output, you can use this weapon’s Secondary and Tertiary abilities, named Imploding Web Grenade Launcher and Overheat Mode respectively.
Imploding Web Grenade Launcher launches a grenade at a target, which pulls nearby enemies in and roots them in place for 8 seconds! Overheat Mode increases your Damage Done and Critical Hit chance for a short time, letting you melt through your enemies!
After claiming the Grand Prize, you will unlock the option of earning additional Dilithium Ore each day that you continue participating in the content associated with Tholian Trouble 2025. Each day you earn the Daily Progress you will be automatically granted a bundle of Dilithium Ore.
This bonus reward will begin at 8,000 Dilithium Ore for the first day’s completion, then scales up with each subsequent bonus completion that you achieve. The more you play, the more you continue to earn!
Zen Buyout Option
For players interested in instantly completing the Tholian Trouble 2025 Event – whether that is due to worries over finding the play time to complete it, or simply wanting to move immediately into earning Bonus Rewards – we will be offering a method for buying out.
Within the Event UI, an option will be presented that allows you to purchase the remaining progress you need, for a scaling amount of Zen. The base price for this service will be 2,500 Zen, but every single Daily Progress you earn will reduce that price on a percentage basis. Thus, if you have already earned 7 Daily Progress (half of the 14 required), this price will be reduced to 1,250 Zen. The more you play, the cheaper the Buyout Option becomes, dynamically!
Availability
Tholian Trouble 2025 will begin on PC on April 29th, 2025, and run for 3 weeks before concluding. It will appear on consoles on May 27th, 2025!
