It can't be a BOP variant. They said it was Commander Tac/Pilot and Lt Com Sci or Eng.

Pilot Specialist Bridge Officer Seats

All of these ships also include a Commander Tactical/Pilot hybrid specialist bridge officer seat as well as a second Lieutenant rank Pilot hybrid specialist bridge officer seat. The primary profession for this seat varies per Pilot ship variant.

So not Lt. Commander but Lt. (Like many of the other T6 ships).

The terrible picture of the KDF ship does look more like a Raptor than a BoP unfortunately. But I won't totally give up hope until they announce the ship classes.

The other thing, is that this would break the universal seating standard that has kept BoPs flexible but under powered from day one.

However, I'd be okay with that if it meant getting to fly a competitive BoP.

I also noticed that the Romulans get full battle cloak, but KDF is once again saddled with standard cloak...*Sigh*... Which also supports a Raptor over a BoP...

Even Al Rivera said in a recent Priority One interview that they are behind on BoPs... But I guess they cannot sell a three pack with universal seating? Doh!

But again, until I see it in print I'm holding out some hope, if not my breath. We'll see soon I suppose.

I was wrong about the 9 pack... Way too many giant bundles lately. I can only fly so many ships, these big bundles are actually keeping me from buying new ships at this point.

problem is they really need to ditch the the format of each ship and move the seating arrangement from what it is now and move to level progression and what ship class your flying.

this will be an abridged version

at lvl 50 what we have now minus the ens slot but add a second lt.com tac/eng/sci. so for example escort x would have a seating arrangement of cmd/tac lt.cmd/tac, lt.cmd/eng, lt/sci or switch between eng and sci. then at 60 escort y cmd/Hybrid, cmd/tac, lt.cmd/eng, lt/sci or switch between eng and sci.

In fact the phantom is probably the best escort period.

Surgical Strikes 3 way out damages everything else atm.


Need another look at these pilot abilities, but everything seems build in for increased speed and periods of invulnerability... ?

As to this pack...
I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't but another ship till the Bird-of-Prey came out... I really want a KDF ship, but I want it to be a Bird-of-Prey. My T5U B'Rel is good enough for me.

I have to disagree with your predictions.

The B'Rel is a BoP that has all Universal BO seating. They already said the escorts will have Tac Commander.

Second, it won't be the Defiant. Up to now they've released the Galaxy and the Intrepid without any special abilities, so I'm guessing they will stay consistent and release their own ugly design.
