Its a real shame about Top Gear, they can try to replace Clarkson all they like but they wont succeed, Clarkson is Top Gear.
Apparently the director of the BBC who made the decision to sack him has received death threats towards him and his wife.

That's a bit excessive. Top Gear is, was good but not that good.

I agree, Husker, I think it's had its day. It used to be really entertaining, then started getting a little repetitive.

Well that's it, May has quit Top Gear. Just Hammond to go and it's finished. They're gonna need a whole new cast.

Its also been reported that Producer Andy Williams has also left TopGear.

The BBC will have a huge decision to make:
Turn back on their statement and give Clarkson a new contract, or be stubborn as anything and try to replace the entire cast, knowing how good they are of finding producers lately... *Cough* American Top Gear *Cough*

Or simply cancel their biggest source of revenue.

Judging by the BBC's track record for business sense, they'll make a complete pantomime of the whole thing and end up ruining the program leaving Clarkson et al chuckling in the background.

So, it looks like the favourites are Phillip Glennister, Jodie Kidd and Guy Martin.

Interesting choices, might cut down on the idiot quotient.
