So i don't know if this is 100% true or not but it seems several people are being instabanned for linking URL's in game. One guy linked a Youtube video and another linked their fleet website and both were banned immediately.
Probably best not to link any sites in game at least until we know for sure.

They could have set something up that would do that if they are trying to cut down on gold spammers. Would be the only reasons I could think that would be a good reason to do that. Not say that it is a good thing, for it does hurt recruitment.

Yeah it has to be due to all the ec spammers. I don't see any other reason they would do it.
I've removed the fleet URL from my toons records in game. Don't wanna be banned because of that.
