I was listening to this today and what stuck out to me was that Argala is up for a nerf. According to Geko (who admits to farming Argala himself), it was never intended to dish out the amount of XP and such. That the nerfs to the rewards for Queues was unintentional and intend to bump these rewards. He talked about how it takes a lot of time to datamine things and figure out the right amount of rewards for a mission. Yet they immediately jumped on Japori (Even though Argala is essentially the DQs version of Japori). And suddenly the only mission in the game capable of producing enough XP to level up is one sole mission in the Delta Quadrant.
My personal opinion is that now that Cryptic has gathered the necessary metrics for DR and sent it up to their PWE Corporate Overlords. They can now return the rewards to the other portions of the game that were originally there.
It just annoys me to think that they felt the need to manipulate the pay out of the Queues and other portions of the game to corral people into the Delta Quadrant. Had they built that section of the game with the intention of drawing us in theyd have never needed to go to such lengths, receive the massive negative reaction they got and people would still be gladly dropping cash on the game left and right. This just reasserts my notion that the Tau Dewa Nerf wasnt because it was 'paying out too much' but that it was preventing Cryptic from printing off data sheets with information the Corporate Overlords wanted to see.

First of all, it's weird to see someone sporting a medical avatar and a exploration blue name. Will need to get used to that
Seriously now, I can't guess at what Cryptic is trying to do. All I know is, from my perspective, Delta Rising has been a massive failure for Cryptic.
No communication, miscommunication, bugs, nerfs, massive powercreep, more monetization and 10 x more grind.
For me, there are no positive sides to DR. The missions are few and not very interesting. The Delta sector holds no interest for me and the only reason I went there is because Cryptic forced me. The new mechanics ruined what was left of PvP.

Re: Priority Podcast 207
cryptic has put itself in the delusional fantasy that everything they do is golden and all they have to do is the minimal amount of work and they'll reap maximum revenue because of the "brand name" and they've basically tarnished this game with years of abuse towards the player community, game bugs that been around since launch in 2010 which they refuse to fix because its too hard, or the insane amount of creep they keep adding because they need to keep adding buckets for the players to fill, and my favorite the constant adding of ships to one faction over all others.
the many reason that a majority of players play federation is the federation has 9x more crap to pick from.
their so busy thinking about rather or they could that they dont stop to think rather or not they should.
