Away Mission - Arcturio

With some regret, I have to say I'm accepting an "away mission" with the 8th.

I've been with you a fairly short time since joining Starfleet. Following a random query about available starship classes which I had been unable to answer within the fleet, I've been inundated with advice and support from a senior officer of the 8th.

I've subsequently spent most of the past few days training with them, having tuition from their officers, been introduced to the dilithium mines, advanced tactics, been provided with surplus stock including consoles, kits and more. Despite my initial reluctance, I've conceeded that a long term placement on the fleet is best.

As per regulation, I will honor the security protocols and notice period.

I hope to see you all again and hopefully work to establish closer ties between the 8th and 12th.

Sad to see you go Arcturio but best of luck in the 8th! Don't be a stranger, and this is definitely a good opportunity for us to keep up more diplomatic relations between the two fleets

A little sad to say goodbye for now, but I'm sure our paths will cross again.

Gorov - No, it was on duty. I had just raised the resources to purchase an Obelisk class, but discovered I was unable to use the fleet store. I was informed there was a month waiting period for the facility, but could obtain little more information. I wasn't aware of any other varieties of ship available at the time. However, a short time later I received notice a captain unknown to me had obtained a Science vessel I hadn't heard of. Curious, I contacted him and asked about it's origins. He gave me a great deal of information about different ship styles, equipment, tactics, dilithium harvesting and more before inviting me on a few missions. During this time, I was introduced to universal consoles, and freely provided with two such consoles and various other core equipment. I have spent quite some time with them since, and eventually accepted their invitation to join.
