Back onto topic... I made the first broad strokes into my torp build, and I'm mildly happy with it.
In basic mirror, it performs VERY well. However, in any of the DR general content (patrols and such) it falls well short of what I want out of it. (At present I chose my Reptilian T-5U Escort, as it has 5 fore with 5 tact slots and a free upgrade.)

I'll likely change out 2 of the Fore Torp tubes, and have more variety in the torp types. I tried focusing on Quant and Photon, but I think I need a plasma or two up front to help for hard punches (albeit slower).
I was also trying the Universal bridge slot as science for more survivability/variety, but need to try the A2B route to test having the torp powers up more frequently to see if sacrificing that for raw dps is better. I'm guessing it is, but I've been trying to move away from A2B builds as much as possible lately since I KNOW they work and aim to find something different and as effective.
If that doesn't prove to be better, I'll likely go for an A2B hybrid with 2 versions of that ability on the Eng, and get at least a copy of TSpread2 in the uni slot.
Side note- that Neutronic torp is not messing around! (It's quantum based, so I could see an all quantum build possible and then getting the more focused tact consoles to boost dmg. At present I like the light show and additional effects from the specialized Photons...

) Also, the Bio console from DR rep will be vital with the Neutronic as it reduces the cooldown dramatically, I just don't have it yet. It's represented in the Skill Planner, but only because they don't have the Subspace Integration Circuit on their options drop down. But that console will be ejected once the Bio one is acquired.
I'm also not sold on the Obelisk warp core on being the final option, but all my other cores boost Weapons... so it'll do. I know it helps the Aux power and that helps overall offensive dmg with the Nukara trait (which my traits are visible in the planner dropdown.)
