Stupid Basic Level a Character question

SO... embarassing as it is to admit, apparently I have been stuck at level 50 so long on my one toon, the arrival of DR, and my delayed start due to real life (I missed the chance to level quicker pre-Tau Dewa nerf), that i must ask:

How do I level up? I recall spending skill points? I know we don't do that here, but aren't we accumulating them and automatically going up in levels as we do? Maybe I need to play a little more, but I don't see anything happening or my XP climibing desptte running some patrols and episodes (just through Mindscape... yes, no time to play).

P.S. Yes, I even need to update my sig below.

Story line episodes and patrol mission were the staple go to for XP, even after TD Nerfx2.

I have had one alt already hit 51 just by simply running daily DOFF missions.

Unless you are asking how do you unlock the new content area. In which case there is a quest chain you must progress through in the Dyson sphere zone to open up access to the delta Quadrant.

of course if you just want exp the Mirror is back...

It is not a matter of where to get the experience, I can grind like everyone else... its just a matter of mechanics... I don't need to do anything specifically to level up, just play, right??

Yup, just playing and killing foes anywhere will give you skill points.

Yeah, i've been playing Battlezones on my alts, has got them a level each. Just play, episode missions, patrols, battlezones, stfs all contribute.

Don't forget to visit Quinn (or J'mpok) at 55 then again at 60 to get you rpromotion missions. You can level all the way without them but if your a gold member or lifer, it's two more free respec tokens.
