Although they are full of rage and DOOM, the forums are nowhere near as bad as those for Eve Online. I've never seen such a bunch of vitriolic people spouting such classics as "L2P Noob", "U mad bro?" and "Can I haz ur stuff?". Those are the nice posts too.

The thing about this ranting is although it is ranting, it is also feedback. I can bet Cryptic pay attention to all of it. Whether they act on it is a different story.

Personally i avoid it all mostly.

I avoid any official forum for anything, its hard to keep up with posts on highly populated forums.
Not to mention heavy censorship and over reactive moderators.

I blame the console players. MMO's have become different animals after they were catered to.

There is also a very different community in Pay to Play communities, and the so called 'Free to Play' games.
