Tier 6 or Upgrade?

If you could only afford one new Tier 6 for a tactical captain from any of the factions, which would it be?

Would it be better to upgrade a ship instead?

I didn't go tier 6 and stuck with my Oddy, now I want to get the starship traits that only come with tier 6 ships. Otherwise im happy with the tier 5u. I'm hoping that there are more tier 6 ships coming soon too, that might be worth waiting for.

The T6 fleet ships were said would be coming about 2 months after launch.

I've been considering the Hazari destroyer as my T6 as I have the lobi for it now.

I tried the Tier 6 Eclipse Cruiser.
Didnt like it and went back to my Oddy.
Waste of money IMO.

I bought a Guardian... its a pretty good cruiser, though honestly, I will probably go back to my T5-U Patrol Escort.

I've thought about picking up an eclipse, mainly to try out some of the single target (insert name of intel ability I can't remember here) builds. I don't think I'll be doing that anytime soon though.

I am wondering what they will be handing out for the winter event this year though. In my personal wish mode, I see an Breen intel ship (Pipe dream I know.)

Edit: The main difference boils down to the traits, the 13th Bridge officer power, and for the intel ships, the intel boff seating... in all other ways a T5-U and a T6 ship are the same.

I personally just upgraded several of my ships. I've really only had the time to mess with the Fleet Galaxy-X T5-U and once you get the mastery levels plugged in it's something to be reckoned with for sure. My personal thought is not to worry about the T6 ships just yet until they come out with a few more choices and then decide.

I am upgrading my gear first before upgrading my ship. Although i may upgrade sometime soon just because i feel left out

If you have a ship you really like then upgrade it rather than replace it. From what i've seen there are more people going back to their old ships after trying a T6 than keeping them.

Tbh unless you're looking for an edge then it just comes down to what you want to do, it's all about the fun.

i purchased the guardian as i like the look of it reminded me of the probert ambassador design which ive always like.



But decided after a couple of hours using it i decided to just upgrade my avenger instead thought did go back to the guardian just to get the tier 5 ship trait unlocked
