Hi there I just wanted to ask a few questions about general stuff.

When PMing someone on the Forums when I send a message how come it stays in the Outbox and not in the sent box? Do I have to do anything to the message for it to actually be sent?

What is the approximate population of the Fleet and what percentages live in each continent (if this is possible to know)

I have not had any game experience of STO yet so I do not really know what to expect. Are there classes/professions like most other Generic MMO's i.e. Tank, Healer, Buffer, DOT, DPS, etcetera or is it multiple combined? Also how does this affect the ships as there are only three different types? (Tanks being Cruisers, DPS as Escorts and Healers as Science Ships. Or are the Ships "Multi-class" as they can lots of different things)
(Just want to find out so I can create my character to reflect the Division I join)

Is the Ventrilo server available to people wishing to join the fleet? I have spotted in some applications that members have said to join the Ventrilo but I thought the information was only available to those accepted to the fleet.

Oh also I just want to make sure my Laptop can hold this game: Will a 512MB Graphics card be enough?

Outbox just keeps a copy of the message, dont worry it still gets sent.
Population of ingame fleet is max 250, i do believe we are close if not over that, at the moment theres a good balance for EU/USA so your looking at nearly 50% each side aprox.

No specific classes, there are three career choices, (Science, Tactical, Engineer) however these are not restrictive in the playability to make them tank/healer/dps.. however if you really wanted to look at them like that then Engineer would be the closest to tank, science -healer and tactical -dps

Ships are multiclass, your cruiser can be a healer should you wish to only take healing abilities on your officers, sure it has more survivability than most healers would ever need, but thats never a bad thing.

However i would suggest you look around, and once you get accepted look around the fleet forums for all information about bridge officers, theres alot to say so i wont go into it here as il just be retyping available information, but have a look and try and get your head around what they do, what they cant do ect ect

Ah yes.. thought it was in the recruitment section guess not.. once you get accepted however youl be able to join vent, i do believe there is a guest area and password for vent.. however youl have to message and check that with scifi_cajun our fleets vent admin.

I have an 8600GT with 512mb and it works great. The graphics really aren't very demanding.

Thanks Kaz, Thats the reassurance I needed. I will be playing on a Laptop with Nvidia 9600m GT 512MB. It managed Eve Online with pretty good settings, As I haven't got ingame yet I didn't know what to expect.

By Choice I am not ingame >_>
