How did you hear about the 12th fleet?

Arctikus actually told me about you guys, said he'd met a friend and was referred to you. We've been gaming together for years so I naturally wanted to stick with him as we begin to learn about and play this new MMO.


What made you interested in choosing the 12th fleet?

After doing all the reading which is quite substantial (cough), I was fairly impressed with how organized things seemed to be and to how much dedication was put into the formation and maintenance of the fleet.

What days and times are you usually online?:

This varies as I'm a stay at home Dad who does some home based work programming from time to time and takes care of our two children. However, usually between 8am - 3pm I'm free, then 5pm - 10pm in the evenings. Weekends its a toss up, depends on what breaks at my mom's house and if she calls me to come fix it heh.

Have you ever played an MMORPG? If so, which one and how long:

I've been playing games since the late 70s, I'm an older guy having started in simple BBS door games, MUDs, eventually getting into Ultima Online which I played for over a year. Since then I've been involved in the following;

- SWG (Beta until the launch of the NGE)
- World of Warcraft (started 2 weeks after launch, still playing)
- Matrix Online (about a month, this game epic fails)
- Age of Conan (about a month, Arctikus sucked me into it and it epic failed)
- Warhammer Online (2 months, this wasn't bad but WoW was more fun imho)
- Lord of the Rings Online (2 months, I liked this one, but it didn't hold my attention well.)
- Ultima Online (2 years)
- Vanguard (2 months, Arctikus once again got me to play it, system reqs were too high, game too buggy)

I've played other MMOs as well just to give them a fair shot at keeping my attention, however only those in the list above managed to half way interest me.

In a paragraph please explain how you will benefit the 12th fleet?

Being that this game is in "Beta" I can't make any promises as to what I will be able to accomplish or won't be able to accomplish. However, I'm an experienced gamer, quick learner, and I love space games, so this is right up my ally. As a roleplayer as well as a pvp/pve type player, I've become accustomed to certain type of player, I prefer maturity and players who like to truly be immersed into the game. Players who name their ships the USS Buttclown or their toon Harry Ballsack don't impress me and I would certainly lose no sleep on seeing them ejected from the game. As for my gaming experience in general, I've been a successful clan/guild leader in the past and do have the necessary skills to be leadership should it come down to that.

On a side note, I was more interested in flying the cruisers and being a "healer" of sorts, however your Medical division is temporarily at a halt for recruitment, so I chose the next best thing. Granted, I'm not sure how/what roles would be most fitting for my play style just yet, so I chose it based upon my own perception of what the roles are defined as.

In regards to me second account, go ahead and disregard it, I have a request in through the contact us link on the site and through a PM to stormshade to have the account removed. When the original account (Riodan) was created, several from my old SWG guild had wanted to get something rolling but there weren't nearly enough people interested to make it work. I'm 100% focussed on 12th fleet.
