How did you hear about the 12th fleet?
I have been waiting for this game for some time, and since I just pre-ordered STO and am used to being in a guild I decided it was time to search for a fleet. I have looked at several of the fleets that are listed on the STO Fleet Registration Station forum. From there it was not hard to find the 12th Fleet.
What made you interested in choosing the 12th fleet?
A few things. First of all you have a lot of replies on your recruitment thread, which means that you are basically an active fleet. Secondly, you seem to be one of the larger fleets around. Thirdly, you expressly state that the 12th Fleet should be an international fleet. Although I am really interested in seeing how that will work out (I foresee some problems concerning fleet-events... any fleet meeting would be problematic for at least a chunk of the fleet) I must admit that I find the prospect both intriguing and challenging, which gives me another reason to join up. Fourth, you are looking for Europeans, I am a European (Dutch to be exact, from the great city of Amsterdam). Lastly, I have taken the liberty to look at several different fleets, including yours, and I simply liked your fleet the best in comparison to the other fleets.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Primary STO interest (Mark all that apply to you):
( ) solo PvE, (X) Group PvE, (X) Raiding, (X) PVP, ( ) Crafting/Trading
------------------------------------------------------------------------
What days and times are you usually online?:
That really really depends on the game. I am usually online in the evenings of my timezone, which is to say between 6pm and 1am GMT +1. In the weekends it could be the entire day or not at all. I will however change my real life schedule around if needed for fleet events. And if I really get into this game then the time I play it will increase. My activity is also higher on Wednesday and Friday, since I don't work those days but study half of the day (so I will be online in the afternoon on those days as well).

Have you ever played an MMORPG? If so, which one and how long:
Yeah... right... I have played about every MMORPG in existence so I won't list all of them. What I will tell you is the following. I started out by playing Star Trek Conquest Online (yes the card game!) becoming one of the best players of that game (there was actually a ranking list... and I was on top of the 'basic' game for some time). After that I spent 2 years playing Project Entropia. I was the Guild Master of the largest guild in the game (approx 1000 members at peak height... try to manage that!). Because of a disagreement with the developers of the game me and my core guild members were invited to join Dark and Light, a game that was in development. The developers even invited me and my two highest ranking officers to come to E3 in LA on their expenses, which was kinda awesome. The last couple of years I have been a resident of the World of Warcraft. I was part of the second best guild of the server, and I was the primary raid leader and second in command of the guild. I have put a lot of time and energy into that guild, and the members there really made me proud. It was more of a family then it was a guild. Anyway, I got bored of the game after playing it for so long, and said my farewell's a couple of months ago. But now I got bored of not having an MMORPG. Luckily STO is coming out soon! But other then those I have also played: AC 1, AC 2, EQ 1, EQ 2, UO, DAOC, SWG, Lineage 2, GW, Warhammer Online, and recently bought Aion... boy that game was bad...
------------------------------------------------------------------------
In a paragraph please explain how you will benefit the 12th fleet?
I think first and foremost I am skilled in managing a guild. Not only am I experienced in all types of administrative tasks, but more importantly I know how to succesfully lead a team. You will most likely notice this yourselves as soon as you get to know me, but the last few years I have been raid leading in WoW nearly 5 days a week, and I would enjoy having some kind of similar task in STO. Furthermore, the character type that I usually play is a supportive role, since those are usually most needed since everyone wants to simply combat. The supporting role I played in WoW was a priest (holy ftw). Actually, for the largest part of my WoW carreer my priest was the best geared on the server. Anyhow, that is why I'd like to be part of the medical division. But I can be placed somewehere else if the need arises.

Will you give your future division's Rear Admiral at least 3 days notice if you decide to resign? Y

Its always nice to have an experienced person around. On top of that you're European, which is cool, and your use of grammar and punctuation make me happy!

JAG is always looking for a few good men (and women) but if you still go to Medical, we will cover any malpractice issues

Re: Application of Valhera
Funny thing is that I work at a law firm in real life. Not as a lawyer but as a researcher though. However, I still would like to get into the medical division, its a matter of calling! Nice to meet you though, and if you ever need something against the headaches of all the hard JAG work... you know where to find me.ThrillaGorilla wrote:JAG is always looking for a few good men (and women) but if you still go to Medical, we will cover any malpractice issues
