bad news :'(

sorry guys looks like im gunna be a little later than i thought joining you in space, see ive encountered a problem. i recently upgraded to windows 7 and now my graphics card wont run any games. its reading in the system as a standard 14 mb vga!! its an nvidea geforce 8400 ffs!!! iv tried gettin the drevers off the site but they dont work, summin about not being compatible with my hardware or some balls. anyways going to get my mate to look at it tomorro, with anyluck he will be able to sort it if not then ill be on shore leave a little longer whilst i get this fubar mess sorted......... sorry guys
but yeh any help, ideas of any kind would be appreciated

Are you using the 64 bit drive, if you downloaded the 32 bit on 7 won't be able to read it.

Well i'm guessing its software if the pc isn't even seeing the card so give this driver a go,

hopefully it'll work, if not sorry, not sure what else it could be.

try putting the 64bit version on... for some reason it has a whole load of compatability improvements over 32bit

When you reinstalled your system did you install the chipset driver ? I had a similar problem and I forgot just this driver...

Your chipset is the hardware that came with your motherboard. So to get your chipset drivers, you need to figure out what flavor motherboard you have then go to the manufacturers website and update. You also should have a CD that came with it.
Also, Windows 7 tends to have a LOT of drivers built in. I think I've only ever had to update my drivers once with 3 different computers running Windows 7... excluding video card drivers, of course.
