The 12th Fleet: Starbase Valhalla

So, now that the Protostar is a thing in-game, I'd just like to ask if it's worth gambling away for the ship. Has anyone in the fleet gotten it? What's your experience?

Never gamble for a ship. It’s always cheaper to buy keys then sell them on the exchange.
Let’s say you have O EC and you wanted to buy a 1 billion EC ship. To make the money you would need about 91 keys then sell them at 11 million EC. That’s about 100 USD. You could try and gamble for it and get lucky but the average cost to win is 250 box openings which equals 250 keys. Nearly triple the cost and that is still NOT a guarantee you will get the ship. You could also wait till next years yearly campaign event and then get it for free.

If you want to know how the ship will do in content, look up CasualSAB on YouTube. He posts reviews of all the ships and gives his input based on how well the ship would do in elite TFO’s. If elite que’s aren’t your thing then any ship spec’d to its strengths will decimate normal and advanced que’s.

Either way just don’t gamble for it.

the drop rate for any ship in a lockbox is less than 1%

supposedly theres a pity system but it requires something like 300+ lockboxes to force.

From what I'm seeing and listening from the youtubez, it's not worth the EC or lockbox runs to get.
