The 12th Fleet: Starbase Valhalla

Anybody run the game through the Steam platform? I know a lot of you just run it independently. But, if anybody does, are you having issues with loading the game? I am having to restart my computer to load it up otherwise it just shows as "Running"

I used to have many problems running it through steam, so I just run it "normally" now. Also buying Zen through steam caused me a few issues, like not receiving the Zen I paid for and neither Steam nor Cryptic willing to help because both said it was the others problem.

So while this doesn't help with your current problem really, maybe do a fresh "clean" install through ARC launcher?

You can bypass loading STO through Steam, even if you downloaded/installed it with Steam. Just find the .exe file on your computer and create a short cut to it.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Star Trek Online

Look for the STO logo and right click, then "Send to", select "Desktop".

I had a hard time getting STO to run under Arc. Removed Arc and ran just the Cryptic launcher - no issues now.

i run it on steam. but sometimes steam will hang when closing a program.
might want to do a force verify from the launcher.

I pulled the exe file out of the Steam folder but it was still giving the blue circle of death, so I restarted computer force verified and now it works. Thanks guys!!
