Hiya Kahn, good to hear from you folks.

Without going into detail; 12th legacy was created a few years back, by a group of 12th Fleet members who wished to leave the fleet to create their own system of governance (And Fleet), but wanted to maintain amicable relations with the 12th.

The aim and policy was (is?), that 12th Fleet members are welcome on their forums and interactions between fleets socially via forum, grouping in-game, and similar STO-related activities can remain friendly.

always good to see friends around still. would be nice if we could use the armada system to link our history and mutual friend ship in a game with such an alliance.

Unfortunately the Armada system, by design, is a hierarchical tiered structure. Alliances in-game could be interesting, but long ago Cryptic stated that they didn't want to add a fleet diplomacy system (Allies, At War, etc), without having an in-game functionality--which allegedly is where the Armada idea came from.

That leaves game chat and 3rd party voice comms as available tools for fleet interaction--and forums, clearly. All of which we have in place. It's just a matter of maintaining relationships and making use of the tools we have really. In other words, the will to do so.

Or that's my take anyway.

A lot of the members are in our Veterans as well so have access to our Discord, as well as the forums.

You can go back to about August 2015 in Fleet Talk to see what was going on.

Alot of the 12th Legacy are veterans and are on chat as has been mentioned above.
