Each week we’ll be rolling out an additional reward for the Featured Episode “Midnight.” The first week’s reward is the Sol Defense Deflector Array. In addition, the first completion of “Midnight” on an account this week will grant a Featured Episode Weekly Reward box. The weekly reward box gives your choice of an Enhanced Universal Tech Upgrade or a Captain Specialization Point, which gives the character who opens the box a Specialization Point. The weekly reward box, tech upgrade, and specialization point box are all Bound to Account, and may be freely traded between your characters. The Specialization Point box requires the opening character to be level 50 or above.
Developed by the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards, the Sol Defense Deflector Array is designed to offer defensive benefits first and foremost. The array enhances a ship’s hull and shield healing abilities, while offering added protection against slowing, disabling, and draining effects. Players will receive the Sol Defense Deflector Array at a rank-appropriate Mark, and it can be freely upgraded to Mk XII. Further upgrades will require Technology Points and Dilithium as normal.
The Sol Defense Deflector Array is part of the Desperate Defenses set. Collect pieces from this set to unlock powerful set bonuses:
Desperate Defenses Set
Impact Distribution Manifolds (2 piece)
This two piece bonus increases your ship’s Kinetic and Energy Damage Resistance Ratings.
Discharge Repair Nanites
This three piece bonus restores hit points to allied ships within range. Affected ships then release additional nanites, restoring hit points to allied ships and fighters in a small area around each target.
The first completion of “Midnight” will also give players the Peacemaker Title and the Iconian Vest Outfit. Once unlocked, the outfit can be worn by both male and female captains. The iconian vest outfit category offers a great deal of customization, with a full color palette and multiple accessories for the upper and lower body.
Next week we’ll reveal week two’s reward for “Midnight.” Stay tuned!

Personally it was one of the few episodes I didn’t like. Found it boring and the story didn’t make sense as it was badly written.

For me not since the Voth has an enemy been so tough! Glad they're gonna expire!

Story is a bit strange yes.
They did leave the story open for more iconian/herald attacks in the future.
But the attack on ESD should have wiped us out in 1 minute :p

made perfect sense to me.
their only liability is they gave way too many dialog options that were meaningless.
1. stick to the plan
2. Learn more
3. Moral confliction
these added nothing and did not change the storyflow based off of your input on the situation.

“made perfect sense to me.”
I don’t want to post spoilers so wont go into detail but there are 2 massive flaws in the story. The Iconians(edited out due to spoilers) acted on knowledge which was impossible for them to have about the future. Without that knowledge the war would never have happened and to make it worse if they really did have that knowledge then they would have known the fate that was about to befall them. Either way the story fall to bits. The other big flaw I cannot think of a way to write without spoilers.
That and I found the mission a little boring to play and kept getting frustrated with messages saying, wait until xxx has finished speaking when I had read the text. I do like audio for NPC's but it shouldn't hold the player up when they can read faster.
EDIT: I also didn’t like the feel of combat. The Iconians are billed as this super advanced race yet a single star ship wipes out entire squadrons of them in 1 volley and fleets of them in minutes without even a scratch. A single cruiser takes out the most powerful Iconians dreadnoughts in seconds. So what if they have a fleet of 600ships I don't see the problem. The amount of star ships should have walked over that 600ships. Which for me left a giant discount between the story and feel of the missions.

I think that this is my favorite episode since the Dominion episodes.
