At this point, nothing would surprise me.

Offhand, Hanlon's Razor comes to mind: never attribute to malice what is easily explainable by stupidity. I think that there are few groups of people, if any, who are smart enough to pull off a real conspiracy. If they really were that nefarious, they would have had better things to say a year ago than "doing these runs over and over is an exploit".

As Douglas Adams once said, "Never underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools." :)

There's also the "Is it on fire?" test. Some claims might not be testable themselves, but either have prerequisites or unavoidable side effects that can be.

If the forum merge were to cover dissent, PWE has done nothing to actually cover dissent. Existing threads were not purged or locked, and no new steps have been made to stop or silence new ones.

If anything, it has the opposite effect, because now it's possible for players of one game to find dissent around any other games with a couple misclicks rather than needing to exit out to an entirely different website.
