The 12th Fleet: Starbase Valhalla

Greetings all!

I'm looking for clarification regarding the required "R&D: Ground Equipment" DOFF to create my TR-116A. That isn't a specific specialization listed in my DOFF roster. Can anyone point me in the right direction before a spend 1-2M EC on the Exchange?

This is the reddit with some of the R&D duty officers by faction. It also contains links to other resources.

Reddit doffs

Basically the doff must have an R&D school specialist panel below their training specialty (assault squad officer, gravimetric scientist, deflector officer or whatever). They can be white, blue or purple quality (higher is better chance of better result quality = ultra rare chance). They come from lockboxes or the recruitment doff missions at the faction academies. Purple ones tend to be exotic races such as xindi and kobali.
