I'm all for more things. I suppose the advantage to the core of what they're aiming for here is that it doesn't matter what you feel like doing in game as you get equal rewards everywhere. However this will slow some things, like Argala. Suspect more tweaking of the balance will come in time.

Did I understand this correctly? I do an Argala patrol and get time gated for 30 minutes?

Yes cool downs for Delta Quadrant and Tau Dewa will be starting this coming patch. But dil has been added to them as well.

Mostly good things, but the time gated patrols are really a bad move for anyone leveling characters.

Agreed, however you can cycle around the sector and do a few, not as great, but ok.

Can see some of the reasons to time gate missions especially now that they are adding dil to them; but will agree it does kind of put a damper on getting xp. Now not sure if I missed it will have to look over the notes again, but does the timer start when you enter the patrol or when you complete? It sounded like that it started when you completed it, but then at different parts sounded like depending on the amount of time needed to complete it the lock out time would be different.

Found it:
This timer starts after the mission is completed, similar to the cooldowns found on PvE Queues. Patrol completion times vary greatly from patrol to patrol and from player to player. Adding a cooldown times allows us to keep the rewards relatively high, but still keep them normalized and acts failsafe in the event certain loopholes or exploits develop.
