Headset snapped :(

Yep, it snapped right along the join between the right ear piece and the band. It's been glued for temporary use but it's fragile so i need to replace it pretty quick. It's easy to give advice when someone else is asking but different when you try and choose something yourself, my brain always turns to mush. So i am asking you guys for suggestions.

I DO NOT want a pc gaming headset, the sound compared to a good set of headphones and a separate mic is rubbish. I have chosen a few items on Amazon that i'd like some feedback on and maybe some better options.

So i chose the Sennhieser headphones, apparently according to reviews these are a good mid range set of headphones with a quality of much higher cost headphones. Bass isn't really something i'm looking for, what i am looking for is sound quality and clarity in mid to high range. Anyone can amplify headphones for higher bass.

Other items are just a cheap condenser mic, pop filter and desk arm. This i can leave in one position and ignore, it'll definitely have a better sound and pickup than a mic on a gaming headset so it's one up already for a fraction of the cost.

Opinions....

I have had (and have) multiples of Sennheisers through the years, and are quiet fond of them. I have not tried your model though, I have the HD 565 I believe, and the Momentum over-ear. I think you will be pleased with it.

I also connects HD 565 through the Cambridge DacMagic Plus connected to my computer as a headphone amp.

I've had these for a couple of years. Top quality sound and good quality build. Expensive but worth it.

I use Sennheiser Headphones, really good quality (altough I use the Sennheiser 360 with a mic attached which has a good sound quality)

I can only reccoment sennheiser Headphonse, had that one for years now and its still in top condition.

Can confirm. I'm a audiophile, these are well worth it.

Yeah they do look good, bit out of my price range though.

Too bad. They are really nice.

At least you're not considering Beats. *shudder*

I've had Sennheisers before and they had moderately good sound quality, but the build quality was a bit poor and they did not last very long. I take my earphones every day to work and back, so if you plan to keep them on your desk it should be OK.
