The 12th Fleet: Starbase Valhalla

This was just posted on Facebook. My guess it is a tease of the anniversary event:

Reports of strange Borg activity are on the rise near Deep Space Nine. We are sending an Elite Strike-force to investigate. I expect the Commanding Officer to report back their findings to us soon. In the meantime, keep a watchful eye on our Bajoran friends. Starfleet protects their own, and we will fight the Borg with everything we've got to protect one of the core members of the Federation. We will alert the fleets when we have confirmation of this strange activity.

I suspect, that this will be an early step towards setting up the story for the next major expansion sometime down the line.

Much as the Dyson gates have opened up a way to visit the the Delta Quadrant, the wormhole was always meant to serve as a gate to the Gamma Quadrant in the interest of story telling.

I continue to predict that access to stories in Gamma via the wormhole along with the introduction of the Cardassians (or Cardassians with/ or as part of the Dominion), is likely something we will see in the next year or two.

We'll see.

At the very least, it's good to see some content focusing on other parts of the galaxy map again... With so many FE's revolving around Tau Dewa, Dyson, and now Delta, it'll be nice to have a reason to go elsewhere for a bit--my crew could use a change of scenery...*Chuckle*...

The voth or the Vaadwaur never really cut for me either. But I did have hopes for Undine becoming the foe #1. The problem with Undine is so little cannon story exists when compared to Borg.

Actually I'm really excited about the Borg coming back. I hope the assimilate Bajor so Kahn's character will be the last of her kind lol

After pulling Vaadwaur teeth for months, I welcome a good old fashioned Borg curbstomp.

Hope the borg come back, they're a good enemy to fight. Plus I hope QorDaq's theory about the Gamma quadrant opening up via the wormhole turns out to be right, that'd be awesome! Plus it makes a lot of sense after that whole DS9 centered storyline from way back.
