Star Wars: The Biggest Plot Hole in History

So I was mulling over Star Wars in my brain this morning as I shaved for work and a thought occured to me: If Jango Fett was the basis for the Republic/Empire's Army . . .
Why couldn't you just clone Anakin?
Seriously.
He has a 20,000 midi-chlorian rating. That's more than Master Yoda. Yeah yeah, he fell to the Dark Side. Okay, so clone him once and try again. Only this time there's no Shimi. There's no Padme. Tell him the truth about how he's a clone right from the git go. Train him right.
Hell, the Emperor did it himself later on in the novels. They did it to Luke. Hell, do it to everyone! No one need die!

That makes too much sense! /sarcasm
It wasn't possible to clone Jedi before Vader did it to Starkiller. And, at that time, the clone had the originals memories for some reason.

They would have needed Anakin's DNA. Imagine trying to get a blood sample from Darth Vader.

which anakin are you talking about?
Jedi anakin pre marrying padme, or confused anakin that would do anything to save her?
or are you talking Sith Lord Anakin/Vader?
if you're talking about the emperor cloning vader so that he has an army of sith at his disposal:
the ultimate goal of a sith is to learn enough from his master that he can kill him and take over as big bad. If you're the Emperor would you really want to clone your apprentice thousands of times, knowing that each one is at some point going to try and kill you to take over?
also, Palpatine was the mastermind beehind the destruction of the republic. the clones were the key to the downfall of the jedi (order 66).
would you really want a clone army of Jedi loyal to the republic?

Luke is still alive isn't he? Surely he has some of the code, and so does his sister! Sounds plausible....
...or plausibly deniable

How could this be Romeo and Juliet in Space if everyone can live forever? You can't have a tragedy unless the important people die.

They can die, just over and over. Anyone follow Duncan Idaho through the entirety of the Dune saga?
Anyway, I think they DID try to clone Anakin, but there was a HORRIBLE accident in the process, and instead of new Jedi they ended up with ..... Ewoks!!!!
