Ja, das ist eine gute Idee.
Ahem, I'm afraid my german is rather limited, even though the border is only 15 km away... It'd be easier if you either learn dutch or we'll stick to english.

Cool, my nephew works there too, though as a tour guide.
He's waiting till he can start flying planes for KLM-Air France, but the credit crisis just started as he finished his study.
Anyways, would be fun if you learn some dutch, but most dutchies are excellent in english anyways, so it's probably easier talking in english.
Infact, I actually talk in english with most german people I know.
Or sometimes they talk/ write in german and I reply back in english, since I can mostly understand speech/ read it, but not really speak/ write it very well.

I sing in german, italian, hebrew and english. I *love* german. Probably the language that feels the most natural rolling off my tongue. Recitation comes pretty naturally to me so I really enjoy it.

Just to let you know that I visited Berlin very recently for a few days and came back in a sort of awe.
Very nice city, well worth visiting.
Visited alot of other german cities and places in the past, also visited alot of different cities thoughout europe, but Berlin ranks very high imo.

Ich kann Deutsch spechen, aber ich bin kein Deutscher. Ich studiere Deutsch als Nebenfach an der Uni (mein Hauptfach is Astrophysik). Jetzt nehme ich eine Klasse uber gegenwartig Deutschland. Ich moechte in meinem Leben noch ein Mal nach Deutschland fliegen. I'd love to learn russian and japanese someday though, but maybe you can teach me some russian here.
