Before I start... I really enjoy the game and won't be quiting anytime soon, i'm also talking about in game content rather than stuff with the fleet.
In STO so far all i've seen is patrol.. blow up some ships and abit of fleet actions plus the odd away mission, and for the most part the game does appear to be more of a single player with multiplayer aspect purely because of everything being instanced and the million loading screens.
What i'd like to know is are there going to be anything else like crafting, ship interiors, exploring earth, vulcan, risa etc... abit of exploration in a better way or diplomacy. In the future will we have less loading screens and more MMO type enviroments? It is fairly bare atm and it'd be nice to have something to look forward to other than some quantum torpedo's and a teir 5 escort. Anyone know any information on this?

I'll state this now because it's irking me at the same time since I can't really blow the $300 on a lifetime subscription.
This game has a fan-base like no other that you're only starting to see. You think it was impressive how Blizzards first MMO caught on?
It's the following the company and its IP's have. You have Cryptic fans and you have Star Trek fans.
This game will have millions of players just like WoW does now because the enormous amount of players will constantly be generating new ideas for the developer team. The dev team is also 100% Trekkie.
I have confidence in them. The game will only get better.

The game will always be instanced i dont think thats changing anytime soon thats the way they made it and apparently wanted. It i would be fine with that but why couldent they make starbases non instanced or have very high player caps like 200,300 or more so you can get a little bit of a mix of diversity. No ones ever hanging out just talking at the bar or something it seems everyones doing what ever they need on their own yea blowing stuff up is fun but the other 10% of the time i just want to have fun with no goal in mind

thats the one thing i dont really like.
I would also love to see larger scale PvP map that actually takes time all the PvPs are over in 5 or 10 mins , wheres the one where you have to launch an assault on a starbase one team attacks and the other defends and blow it up and have it actually take longer then 10 min. But im sure thats easily going to be added in the future.
As for the loading screens its an instanced game thats a bi product they do get annoying :/

Oh yeah I have no doubt about the fan base, its the content i'm intrested in. I've played lots of MMO's and huge amounts of other types of games... I also do alot of beta testing and this does seem to be very promising. Just like to know since i'm also considering the £150 lifetime sub lol.
