The 12th Fleet: Starbase Valhalla

I'm a bit confused with this whole beta key thing. So I figured I'd just ask and see if someone can clear it up.

I pre-ordered the DDe from Atari, and got an order confirmation in my e-mail with a product serial number. I enterd this into the STO site and it reads as "Star Trek Pre Order Keys for Digital River" underneath my Wrath of Khan uniform. I have not recieved anything else from Atari in my e-mail, and am wondering if I should be recieving a sepearte code for beta, or if this serial number is all I need.

Has anyone else ordered from Atari? Can someone shed some light on this?

Sorry, I ordered my game at gamestop, although I am starting to think that may have been a bad idea since they seem to be more expensive than others. I got my beta code yesterday.

However when i entered my pre-order code, its states pre order key and name of retailer, so i suspect you've got all you need for beta -copies mine below

I think that Digital River pre-order Atari code is actually your open beta access code. So you should be good.

Atari did send me a second email a few days ago saying they were about to charge my credit card for the purchase but that is all that I have heard.

I ordered from Atari as well. If you go back to their CS site and enter you order info, it will take you to another page that will confirm your OB code. If you've entered this in on the STO sight, it's my understanding that you're good-to-go. However, downloading the engine is a whole other story. Atari doesn't seem to have it's own downloader available for the OB (or at least I haven't been able to find one) so according to their instructions, your stuck with either Fileplanet or the STO downloader, both a practice in patience.

Yea I'd pretty much figured that out finally today from digging through the e-mail they sent me. I started downloading from the STO client and its been going for 6 hours or so now and its only at 30% :/
