Renaming your ship costs 3000 merits after the first time, even at Admiral I'm not blowing 3000 merits on a ship name change.

My Miranda will be the U.S.S. Canyonaro
Then probably the U.S.S. Morn is Sexy


Once I get my Defiant etc again I'll start using the U.S.S. Sodaprise or Sodahprise :)

USS Midway

For my Olympic-class (T3), I will once again name it USS Redemption, after the medical frigate in Star Wars (Olympic-class seen in TNG "All Good Things" was a medical ship (USS Pasteur))

As for my final ship, it shall be named USS Ikrit. I have always wanted to call my ship that.

If I have more than one ship I will name one Heureka, a little tribute to my old WoW Guild ;) and the main ship will be the USS Dunkelzahn, a tribute to a wyrm from my beginner days in RPGs

Well, the USS Tyr for me then :)
My endgame ship will most likely be the USS Beagle if there aren't to many of those around.

3000?? I thought it was 1000 for a ship rename after your freebie one...

That sucks I didn't know it would cost for ship name change.

I'm going to have various 20th century theoretical physicists for my science ship names

USS Stephen Hawking
USS Michio Kaku (for my Tier 5)
etc.

I have no idea what to name my ships...I guess I will be spending the remaining hours until head start begins searching for names...this is the worst part of any MMO...finding names and in STO you need: 1 for your character, 1 per bridge officer and 1 per ship you get (bridge officer and ship comes with a random name that you can change).

USS Tiamat for me! for all my ships :)
Babylonian so totally not on a norse theme, means 'mother of life' a primeval sea dragon goddess, the embodiment of chaos and mother of the first gods.
