Windows 10 Steals Your Internet Bandwidth to Send Updates to Others, Disable It Here.

This is not cool Microsoft.

I'd honestly leave the PC's on my local network update option on if you have multiple computers in your house. That way you aren't taking extra bandwidth from your internet connection and sending the already downloaded updates to your other systems internally.

In retrospect this isn't a half bad idea. A lot of Linux systems do something similar where mass sharing of say ISO files and such really cuts down on the time your actually downloading stuff. If Windows does it similarity to that it probably only shares a small chunk of the updates and not the whole thing. It probably also only does it at night when updates typically occur so I wouldn't even think people would really notice.

only problems i had installing it were, restart forgot what it was doing, and the install ran a little on the hot side.
outside of that front mounted sound died but managed to fix that.

Just downloaded windows 10 last night. I already like it a lot, cortana is pretty cool too. No problems downloading, it all seems to be running smoothly.

It does seem to have been received well. I've not seen anyone really run it down yet, other than the security issues.

I'll still hold off for a while just so everyone else can beta test for me. lol

Normally wait and see how a new operating system works and is received by others. Well, and with medic school still going not a good idea to install or change computer software or parts. Will have to see how it goes and may try it later on.

I installed and it all went pretty smoothly, but I run a very vanilla computer compared to most of you. Cortana is interesting but it was having trouble understanding what I was saying. The issue might be with my mic. I had been running 8.1 so reducing the tile wall into the start menu was nice.

I am still waiting for Microsoft to give me the go ahead to download and install. I have been checking Windows update multiple times a day and nothing.
