The 12th Fleet: Starbase Valhalla

to be honest im not really intrested in any of the fleet ships as i love the excelsior which I have been using since 2010 and seen as there isn't a fleet version of it i will probably pass up on the fleet ships and just continue to use this, well until they put the ambassador class in game

Word on the Excelsior! Lt. Cmdr Tactical and a turn rate of 8 makes a fun cruiser. I was hoping the new Fleet Assault cruiser would have those things.

Changing the subject slightly, anyone know the latest word on the Fleet Assault Cruiser? I heard 3rd-hand rumors, but nothing reliable.

I'll wait till I can get the Fleet Defiant, the rest of the ships aren't worth getting as the boost isn't big enough to be worth it for me as a pve player. If/when Cryptic ever gets to releasing the Andorian Escort and actually not **** up the design and layout I might just get that instead. Don't like the Defiant ships look anyway so it's a toss up if I may even bother getting the T5 version if the Andorian doesn't pan out.

The fleet defiant has 5x tac slots...which is just ridiculous, I think. That lets me put 4x AP and 1x Quantum! Madness. So that's pretty compelling.

On the other hand I love the advanced escort but am confused as to the availability of the fleet version. It doesn't appear on STO wiki, but it appears to be available from the starbase overview interface. Same for Fleet Assault Cruiser or z-store assault cruiser retrofit. (Like, why leave these two out, when it ruins the symmetry of the whole thing! Fleet versions of all T2 and T3 (except connies) and fleet versions of all the RA free ships and the VA 'tv series' retrofits. So out of all that the assault cruiser and the advanced escort are left out....why? I am also confused why the fleet akira is called 'fleet heavy escort carrier' when it should just be 'fleet heavy escort.' It is a fleet version of the T3 akira, not of the z-store T5.5 ship. At least it SHOULD be.

I am also loving the fleet saber retro. That's just awesome. My question though is: for the heavy cruiser, the saber, and the nova...why both a regular and fleet retro, if they are all available through the fleet...are regular retros and the fleet versions at different tiers?

Cause it was explained to me hat the ensign TAC boff gives you nothing. That's why the patrol is superior, more survivability.

Interested in upgrading my Defiant retrofit to the fleet version, can't really complain about more shield, hull and an extra tactical console
