Greetings 12th Fleet!
I am happy to announce that UFP has taken a significant step forward in our efforts to transform from simply a gaming clan into more of a community.
Effective today, we have removed our policy regarding the prohibition of multi-clanning for our overall membership. What this means is that any member of the UFP has the opportunity to participate and interact with fleets as a member of that fleet while being allowed to retain their membership with the UFP as well.
However, there are some exceptions to this policy change. Because we're still in the middle of transition, the multi-clanning rule still exists for any voluntary positions in the UFP (so CL4, CL5 and CL6 positions aka officers within the community). In time, it is our hope to open the policy change to these individuals as well.
I want to stress that this announcement is not being made to seek the "farming" or "mining" of the members of your fleet. As our friends, and allies, we want to share with you this pivotal turning point for our community and are hopeful that this will lead to more of the positive interactions our two fleets have enjoyed in the past.

I rather like this change. I have a TON of respect for groups that do this.
I'm actually part of a similar community that isn't attached to STO officially.
Glad to see some changes over there! Hope everything goes smoothly!

Thanks, Hohndo, Wixiban. We're pretty excited about the opportunities it will open up for us and our friends in other communities/fleets.
Hohndo, it's been awhile since I've seen you about. Glad to see you're still around.

As I reported a few weeks back, UFP has been making some changes aligned with our movement from a gaming clan towards more of a community oriented group. The latest in this movement involves some minor changes with regard to our diplomatic corp.
Firstly, the Open Embassy at our website (originally housed in the Starfleet Diplomatic Corp section) has been moved to Starfleet Logistics and renamed "Community Open Relations." You'll find your embassy still quite intact, just in a new location on our website. As always, feel free to stop on by and say hello when you're in the neighborhood!
The Starfleet Diplomatic Corp is also being restructured and moved into a brand new division, the Federation Administrative Bureau or FAB. Many of the duties of our ambassadors will remain the same; however, one of the restructured items includes directly involving our various gaming divisions (STO STFs and PVPs, etc.) with the establishment and coordinating of Joint Fleet Events (JFEs). Assigned ambassadors like myself will continue to be the main point of contact with UFP, but in order to coordinate efforts in creating JFEs, the actual division the event will be based around will handle setting things up.
We'll have more on this and other changes in the coming weeks, but we wanted to keep our friends/allies in other fleets informed of our activities over at UFP. More to come!
