Windows 7 is much better than Vista or windows XP.. So if you're like me and need windows for gaming, then win 7 is by far the best version available. I doubt there will be a native linux version of STO anytime soon :/
Who said anything about "native"? I have absolutely no illusions about a native STO edition for Linux. However... WINE may eventually be able to run STO. Currently it can do Guild Wars and WoW... perhaps a few other MMOs. May take a year or so, but I'm hopeful to be able to join the fleet in STO while running my favorite Linux distro! I am such a nerd.

The lifetime subscription is very tempting, but I'll probably get it at the full price since there are other things I'm needing.

Good to know... I'll probably be getting a new rig soon, so I'm sure it will have win 7 on it.

I use Windows 7 at work and it is really nice. I like it a lot.

How much is windows 7 anyway? I am really thinking about picking it up I hear it has some nice drivers and does less drain on RAM.
