This is again Cryptic doubling down on the power creep, putting inflated fleet credit and dilithium prices to things 99% of the players don't need to play the game.
The more I play other games the more I see STO has become a ship and bonus collection game. The new end game is not missions but getting the latest ships, the latest equipment upgraded to Mk XIV gold and getting these fleet bonuses. All so that a mission takes 1m30s instead of 2m to complete. Because you need to do the missions as fast as you can to grind for the next thing you need to collect.

forgot pay to win. since now their selling ship traits in lockboxes and the cash shop.

It's not pay to win. Because you don't need all this stuff to win. It's pay to collect or pay to boast, depending on the player.

Science team doesn't have a long CD and this buff has a 30 second duration...throw in the trait from the tac command cruiser and you'll have a even shorter CD. You'll generally also have HE in the mix so even more a chance to proc...it wont be fast without some major luck...but I'm sure you can 5 stack.

It actually probably wouldn't be that hard to get a 5-stack, especially on a cruiser. ST, HE, ET, Aux2SiF, EPtS and you're almost there. I would have preferred if they just went with the EPF. At least then there would be more incentives to fly sci ships.

You think they would do that? DPS hogs need something to put in their Science slots!
Look at the embassy ones...just like everything else they favor energy weapons and damage builds...science console and it's worst on Science ships lol.
They don't care about science and it shows...
Plus...you just know if they did that every dps junky that has a ship that is void of anything but tac abilities and your basic needed heals would start a firestorm on their forums (Lovely ones they are

Well I wouldn't say the embassy consoles are the worst on science ships - all that glorious partgens! But yeah, I wouldn't mind them releasing more things that favour alternative builds, especially exotic ones.

They don't need to release anything to favour alternative builds. They only change one thing that is already in the game.
They need to bring FAW to the same level as all the other beam and canon abilities. Now that would start a firestorm of EPIC proportion

Well I meant they're all proc based and Sci ships have the lowest amount of weapon slots so get the least out of the procs...especially considering how bugged the plasma explosion is with faw...just leave them at a disadvantage.
