I got a lot done today. It's more or less in one piece now, a lot of painting done today too. I was thinking that because of the size i could make a damaged section like the side of a nacelle or something but in a state of repair, what do you think??? It would require some scratch building which is something i've never done before. That's along with the usual phaser damage and some torp hits and maybe a conduit blowout "Year Of Hell" style or something. I even thought about replicating the secondary hull damage around the deflector area on the Excelsior in Generations when it was hit by the Nexus ribbon.

Nice! My chief engineer says they haven't been cleaned in weeks.

You could simulate damage quite nicely with a 12ga.

Update on the Enterprise.

It's all in one piece now, more or less and i've started applying the decals. This should take me a couple days with leaving time between every section of decals to dry so i don't accidentally rub them off while handling the ship. The thicker of the 2 decals running around the lower saucer section broke when i was trying to remove it from the card so i just stuck it on as best i could. It's not too bad though.

The stand i did in the traditional gold with a black support. This looks awesome and better than the colour they say to use in the kit. I've also got a silver plaque decal to go on the stand but that'll go on last depending on what the ships best side is. Also you can see where i've brushed the paint on the support, you actually can't see that unless you look real close in person. The camera shows that up to be worse than it is.

Yes it's unpainted. This is because the colour it says to use imo will look too dark when adding battle damage and weathering effects. I decided to stick with the white plastic colour and see how it goes. Usually i make the right calls when it comes to colour so i'm hoping it'll turn out ok.

That'll come after everything is finished. A quick blow over for that little protection with some clear coat.
