Some initial impressions of the Presidio-class Tactical Command Battlecruiser:
Design-wise it looks like a bit of a kit-bash. The secondary hull reminds me of the Excelsior, the quad nacelles remind me of the Dakota-class, and the pointed primary hull reminds me of the Intrepid-class. Overall, I'd say it looks pretty good: looks unique, but also looks like a Fed starship should.
In terms of how it plays, I find the turn rate to be mercifully better than the Oddy I used to fly.
The bridge is a let-down: it appears we're given the standard bridge layout everybody gets: the same one that you get on the Miranda. Lame.
Still testing the Universal it comes with, the Defense Platform. On paper it looks pretty good: it has two phaser beam arrays and it spams mines. As you might expect, however, it dies quickly, either due to FAW from players or from the AI (which presumably sees it as a threat).
