I'm referring to Rise in rebellion as the server is being hammered since cryptic posted it on their site.

In this case, you could make a reasonable argument to apply either definition of revolting. How disgusting that the server is rebelling.

I don't remember the movie for sure, something like Dragon Heart or something like that:
Dude on horse: The peasants are revolting!
Prince: They've always been revolting.
Dude on horse: Ah, but this time they're rebelling.
