I have the same experience. I ordered via 12games.com, which is one of Europe’s official retailers according to the official STO website. It took them some time to send me a code and then they sent me a wrong code. I called them and they told me ‘Oops, we got some wrong codes from the makers of STO’. Yeah right.

Cancelled the order there. Got the digital deluxe edition over at D@D, got everything immediately. Awesome service.

Unfortunatey, D2D had issues with my Credit Card, the bank must have some sort of authorization security measure in place and it wouldn't let me order through them. So, I opted to order through Steam who I had used in the past for other titles. Steam however, does things a little differently than the other places, so I have to simply be patient and wait until Tuesday.

ya but having to wait till feb kinda defeats the purpose of pre-ordering to be able to access the open beta and headstart, if it wasnt for the constitution id just cancel and wait of the game to drop retail

It is, you can make a Trill in STO but it won't be a 'joined' Trill like Daxx. If you got the DDE then come launch you can create a Joined Trill with a few extra bonuses that make your character that much better.

Not sure if the Joined Trill is a character you can create during the Head Start or during the Retail Launch.

It will not be available in the Open Beta incase you needed that cleared up.

For an all digital version (Nobody is waiting to get their DDE box delivered) it makes no sense not to enable that kind of thing during the head start.

It's the same version patch.

Actually, if you ordered through Steam you don't have to wait until Feb (if you preordered), the way Steam handles it is, they link your Beta key to your account, then when its time for headstart, they'll link that key instead, and then finally you'll get your actual key linked on launch. You should be able to start downloading today or tomorrow depending on when they decide to release the client. I'm guessing Tuesday (U.S) around noon. The most annoying part about Steam is, they can't handle massive downloads well, so it could take you all night just to get the client, then there's still patching to be done.
