I've also respected the whole David vs Goliath thing that Defiant class ships and their sister ships get involved in so ill be shooting for one of them.

But ultimately, i want a Prometheus class... I mean who wouldn't want multi-vector assault mode? If its gonna be included. :?:

Cryptic have stated multi vector assault mode will NOT be included in the game. They spoke of issues controlling the three ships at once and I think stated it would be "overpowered".

I was thinking Cruisers but now I'm leaning myself towards Escorts.

Escorts just aren't my play style the run in fire away and run out before your blown to pieces dosent work for my they seem paper thin they will dish out the pain but they aren't gonna be able to take much , but i see an Escort Vs Escort one on one fight being very entertaining :). Also i could see that the skill of the pilot of the escort will play a large role , larger then the other ships. Maybe ill play an escort as an alt but im not gonna get ahead of myself :)

But then again i wouldent want the Sovereign what i think its going to be ridiculously powerful as far as tanking wise at least, its probably gonna move like a flying brick.

Im going to lean towards the more nimble cruiser at least atm thats what im shooting for.

Unfortunately for me I see an escort as that "Nimble Cruiser" you're talking about
Not to mention the only federation class ship that can equip Phaser Cannons.

I hope not i see escorts as being your rouge finding a weakened foe and positioning your self on on their already weakened shield angle and going in for the kill in 1 attack run. Phasers and cannons to take the rest of shield down then a salvo of torpedoes and boom there dead or damn near close. But they take some fire and there gonna go down maybe not destroyed but pretty hurt and subsystems messed up and the low crew numbers will mean repair will take longer.

I want a cruiser not as strong as a sovereign some where a little below that but nimble in the sense of a cruiser. Being nimble dosent need to turn on a dime but i dont want to be constantly out ran by opponents. I see the sovereign as very hard to kill but say your hurt you can just run away from it easily. i want some speed to deter them from running but i want that cruiser survivability. I think some engineering skills will help me with that too.

I dont want to tank but i dont want to be a paper thin "rouge" im trying to find a middle ground leaning more towards the cruiser side. But who knows im waiting for the 12th to put my theories to test.

Apparently it will be, though they have re-named it as Envoy Class
